龙沐湾国际旅游度假区位于海南省乐东县境内，东南距三亚市88公里，北距海口市278公里，依山面海，地势平坦。依托龙沐湾得天独厚的落日海滩、尖峰岭热带雨林、黎苗族地域文化等资源，建设以“山海互动、旅居合一”为特点的、具有浓郁地域特色的生态型、中低密度、国际一流、国内领先的旅游度假胜地。度假区概念规划面积70平方公里，总体规划面积34.16平方公里，规划核心区15.3平方公里。在项目启动区约5平方公里，将建设8-10座五星级和超五星级酒店、主题公园、高端滨海别墅、企业会馆、商业配套、文化娱乐、旅游设施、体育运动、公共服务、医疗卫生、文化教育等。与尖峰岭国家森林公园合成一体化发展态势，形成山海互动，旅居合一的效果。一期工程建设内容包括：体育公园、龙沐湾大酒店（八爪鱼酒店）、五星级别墅酒店、四星级花园酒店、渔人码头商业街、龙沐湾大道等几大项目。其中龙沐湾大酒店（八爪鱼酒店）建成后将与迪拜帆船酒店、悉尼歌剧院一样成为世界上又一著名海洋建筑，成为海南著名地标。

On the western coast of Hainan island, nestled in between the mountainous forests and the brilliant sunsets over the Bay of Beibu, lies a 5.1km beachfront area that is the location for the Longmu Bay International Resort.

Hainan, located at 18 degrees longitude (the same as Hawaii), has a tropical,moist, monsoonal climate with lush, abundant greenery and brilliantbeaches at its coastal edges. Inland, the island contains mountainous regions rich with habitat and native diversity. The story, history, and legend of Hainan Island and Longmu Bay shaped the development of the Longmu Bay International Resort Landscape Design.
